The arts is a subject within primary schools that is becoming less valued within our modern educational system, while it has many benefits. One of these benefits is that it supports young children in their emotional development, since artistic expression comes more natural to them than verbal communication. Art as a start is a handbook that contains many simple and fun exercises that use art to support teachers in primary schools in communicating with and understanding their students.
With this project, I finished my Graphic Communication course. I came up with the concept, wrote all of the text, and designed the book.
